On December 3, the PCL Asia Championship officially kicked off its first day of festivities with a vibrant welcome dinner that brought together 28 elite teams from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, and Thailand.

It wasn’t just dinner. It’s a gathering where world-class competitors shared one last relaxed moment before stepping into three days of intense, high-level play.

A Night of Warmth, Laughter, and Unspoken Rivalry

PCL founder Steve Kuhn and PCL President Alex K. Yuen opened the evening with warm messages of support, setting the tone for what felt like a family reunion of the international pickleball community.

Across the room, the atmosphere blended friendly chatter with the subtle edge of anticipation. Athletes laughed, exchanged stories, clinked glasses, and snapped photos together. Rivalries were present, of course, but masked under genuine camaraderie.

One player summed it up perfectly:

“We’re opponents on court, but we’re friends first.”

That spirit filled every corner of the venue, players sizing each other up yet celebrating the fact that they’re all part of something bigger: the growth of pickleball across Asia.

The Countdown to the PCL Asia Season 2 Championship

From December 5 to 7, Shenzhen becomes the battleground for the PCL Asia Championship, where the continent’s top talent will clash in fast-paced, heart-stopping matches. Expect:

  • Hard-driven smashes

  • Lightning-fast exchanges

  • Sky-high lobs and daring counterattacks

  • Moments that make the entire crowd hold its breath

Every rally carries weight now. Every point could be the one that shifts momentum. Every match brings us one step closer to crowning the best of Asia.

Be There When History Happens!

Fans from all over the region are invited to witness this epic event in person. If you've never watched top-level pickleball live, this is the moment. The speed, the precision, the energy, it’s the kind of experience that photos and highlight clips can never fully capture.

Event Dates: December 5–7
